A good CV should...
Ideally be no more than 3 or 4 pages in length
Be clean & crisp in appearance with consistent style & fonts
Contain your full contact details
List your work history in chronological order (most recent job first)
Have no gaps and with your education and employment clearly dated
Include a candidate profile providing a snapshot of your keys skills, background & career aspirations
Be tailored towards the role you are applying for
Mistakes to avoid include...
Leaving out previous roles because you do not feel they are relevant to the role you are applying for
Having unexplained gaps in your CV (maternity leave, extended vacations etc)
Not regularly auditing and keeping your CV up to date as you gain new skills and take on further responsibilities in your career
